Indie Music Night in Lewisburg, WV for AQFF!
The Spring to host Indie Music Night featuring Morgan Cornwell, Rivertown Gypsies, and Julia Read on April 10, 2014 7-9:30pm.
LEWISBURG, W.Va., April 1, 2014 – Freshly renovated and popular vegetarian restaurant, The Spring, will be serving up their signature farm-to-table meals with a side order of independent, acoustic music on April 10 from 7 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
This special evening will feature a not-to-be-missed line up of three separate singer-songwriter acts including: Lewisburg’s one-and-only Morgan Cornwell, the Ronceverte-based Rivertown Gypsies, and Brooklyn’s vocalist/violinist Julia Read.
Ronceverte’s Rivertown Gypsies, husband and wife duo of Shane and Lynda Allen, will be playing a soulful blend of acoustic rock and blues.
Powerhouse vocalist, Morgan Cornwell, known most recently for her incredible performances with local rock phenomenon THE WEIGHT, will be performing solo on piano.
Brooklyn, New York’s very own vocalist-violinist, Julia Read, will be appearing in Lewisburg just after finishing up a tour across the UK.
The event is presented by the Appalachian Queer Film Festival (AQFF) to raise awareness about their inaugural festival scheduled for October 23rd – 26th in Lewisburg, WV. AQFF’s mission is to bring queer films and filmmakers to the region and break down stereotypes throughout Appalachia.
Admission is free and dinner service is available between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.
