Location, Location, Location
We are proud to announce the official home of the 2014 Appalachian Queer Film Festival. Lewisburg is a town of 3500 people nestled within the rolling hills of the Greenbrier Valley in West Virginia. Known as an artist-colony community, this picturesque center of culture was voted the coolest town in America in 2011. A quiet respite of free-thinking folks, the area boasts a strong pro-small business climate and is home to three theatres (2 performing arts and one film) within its quaint downtown. A short drive down I-64 can take you to the historic and luxurious four-star Greenbrier Hotel or to a host of West Virginia’s finest outdoor recreation, including but not limited to white water rafting on the Gauley and New Rivers. All within a four hour drive from Washington D.C., it’s no wonder we fell in love with this hip, historic, stunning community. We think you will too.
